Job Description:

  • Dispense medication as stated on prescriptions, ensuring that the medication is labeled with the correct drug name, strength, quantity, directions for use and correct patient’s identification details
  • Ensure that the correct medication is given to each patient, counseling them on the dosage, storage instructions and possible side effects
  • Advise and counsel patients appropriately in relation to over-the-counter medication purchases
  • Respond to queries from patients, doctors, nurses, etc, whether by face-to-face contact, telephone, email, fax, etc
  • Liaise with members of the clinical team regarding medication for individual patients
  • Maintain minimum stock levels of medications and consumables, checking expiry dates and storage conditions
  • Place accurate and timely orders with suppliers and accept deliveries of medication, recording them in the computer system

Job Requirements / Responsibilities:

  • Fluent English (spoken & written)
  • Pharmacist license in Hong Kong or overseas
  • Must hold Employment visa or Hong Kong Permanent ID card
  • 2+ years dispensing experience in hospital or clinic environment
  • Pleasant personality and excellent customer service skills
  • Self-motivated with good organizational skills
  • Able to work in a team and independently
  • Fully IT literate
