We have already built the largest investment writing team in the UK, and now we want to develop our business in Asia. To do this, we need an independent business development professional.     
Job summary
You will cultivate our existing relationships in Hong Kong, targeting new client opportunities and building awareness of the Copylab brand. In addition, you will manage data on client leads and our sales campaigns using our Hubspot CRM system. Also, you must have excellent negotiating skills, as well as a proven ability to build and, importantly, maintain relationships. 

Job Requirements / Responsibilities:

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Identify potential leads, establish and develop relationships, then turn these into successful business partnerships.
  • Nurture Copylab’s existing relationships by working with our clients to determine new writing opportunities.
  • Possess a strong understanding of the financial services industry. However, this role is all about people, so having a great book of contacts in the sector is more important than technical knowledge.
  • Work closely with our writing and marketing teams to ensure our message is consistent.
  • Liaise with Copylab’s other business development managers to share insights into our markets around the world.
  • Understand our areas of expertise and explain these clearly and confidently to potential and exiting clients.
Qualifications and Skills
  • At least five years of business development experience.
  • Experience in, or knowledge of, the Hong Kong investment management industry.
  • A network of connections in the investment industry at a senior level and preferably in the area of marketing.
  • Ability to work both independently and jointly with others.
  • Patient and strategically minded with a long-term business outlook. Resolute but not aggressive in your approach to relationship management.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Excellent digital skills with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and customer relationship management tools.
  • Comfortable preparing and delivering roundtable and group presentations.
