The company is headed by the first Master of Wine in Asia, Debra Meiburg. A multi-faceted business, with both external clients and diverse business arms (including education, training, media production and publishing), it is a fast-paced and progressive company with a dedicated team of flexible, creative and self-motivated individuals.
We require a Public Relations & Communications Manager to join our team and expand media exposure, plan and execute PR and media campaigns, and drive traditional and online PR excellence across our many projects and clients, especially within the local media. This is a role with a high level of creative freedom, requiring a self-starter with initiative, determination and flair. Job Requirements / Responsibilities:

Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Devise, plan and execute PR campaigns for clients (including international wine regions, drinks brands, and related organizations)
  • Conceive and manage ongoing, creative PR and communications initiatives for internal business arms (wine school, Asia’s largest wine competition, other), ensuring quality and quantity of media coverage is achieved
  • Secure positive press coverage, place success stories, pitch news across digital and traditional media for clients and MWM
  • Plan, manage and host media events
  • Contribute ideas for PR strategy and tactics to the business development team pitching for new pitches and proposals
  • Professional and timely proactive and reactive media relations
  • Write compelling copy, edit and translate communications and PR materials including, but not limited to, press releases, newsletters, editorials, and marketing materials
  • Monitor and analyze PR results, and present end-of-campaign reports to clients and internally, as required.
  • Oversee and be “gatekeeper” of all Chinese language communications across the company to maintain quality brand standards
  • Evaluate opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships and advertising on an on-going basis

  • Minimum of 4-5 years’ experience in a Hong Kong or international PR agency environment is a must
  • A strong, and well-established Hong Kong media contact list and solid media and KOL relationships is essential in this role (lifestyle sector essential. Travel, business and F&B a plus)
  • Established F&B/Lifestyle media contacts in China and/or elsewhere in Asia a huge plus.
  • Excellent written and spoken communications (Chinese, English & Mandarin) is essential, as is the ability to write with style and flair for a variety of audiences
  • Proven track record in devising, managing and executing PR campaigns from start to finish
  • Strong grasp of and ability to manage online PR, digital media, influencer communications and cutting edge communications tactics
  • The ability to meet and manage competing deadlines, and project priorities with passion and enthusiasm (as well as a good dose of humour!).
  • Experience in supporting new business development and expanding current accounts
  • Strong presentation skills, attention to detail and impeccable communications and brand standards
  • An interest in / passion for wine is a plus, but not essential
